Word information — definitions, examples, and etymology — is sourced from Wiktionary via an open-source dataset. The accuracy and completeness of this data is subject to the quality of that underlying source.

Microphone access

The core spelling feature requires microphone access. By granting microphone permission to this Site, you acknowledge that:

• Voice recognition is processed within your browser and audio is not stored or transmitted by us.
• Your browser vendor may process audio data as part of the Web Speech API. This is subject to your browser vendor's own terms and privacy policy.
• You can withdraw microphone permission at any time via your browser settings.

Advertising

This Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These adverts are provided by Google and are subject to Google's terms of service. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

We do not endorse any products or services advertised on the Site.

Intellectual property

The design, layout, and code of this Site are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site's design or code without our prior written consent.

Word definitions and etymology data are sourced from Wiktionary and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence. Attribution is given to Wiktionary and its contributors.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
